Your Role:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will drive quality engineering and automation for modern distributed systems in high-load, microservice-based environments. You’ll build and evolve reliable UI + API automation, integrate it into CI/CD, and ensure fast, actionable feedback for engineering teams.Our core stack is Java, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, and RestAssured, executed via Jenkins, Selenium Grid, and BrowserStack. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Design, develop, and continuously improve automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured.
• Build and maintain end-to-end automation across UI, API, and integration layers, with strong focus on stability and maintainability.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines, ensuring fast feedback, consistent execution, and clear results.
• Execute and scale tests using Selenium Grid and BrowserStack (desktop + mobile where applicable).
• Analyze failures, identify root causes (test vs product issues), and collaborate with dev/QA teams to resolve defects efficiently.
• Contribute to test strategy: coverage decisions, flakiness reduction, execution optimization, and framework standards.
• Ensure traceability and documentation via Jira, Confluence, and Xray (test plans, execution, coverage reporting).
• Mentor team members, promote best practices, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leverage productivity tools (Rovo, Copilot, Cursor) responsibly to improve efficiency while maintaining code quality.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years in software testing, including 3+ years in test automation (Senior-level ownership expected).
• Strong OOP and hands-on automation development experience in Java.
• Proven experience with:
• Selenium WebDriver (robust UI automation practices, synchronization strategies)
• Cucumber (BDD design, reusable steps, readable scenarios)
• TestNG (suites, parallel execution, listeners)
• Maven (build lifecycle, dependency management)
• RestAssured (API automation, auth, validation, assertions)
• CI/CD expertise with Jenkins (pipelines/jobs, execution gating, artifacts).
• Experience executing tests in remote environments: Selenium Grid and/or BrowserStack.
• Strong Git knowledge (Bitbucket preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing (headers/cookies, payloads, collections, environments, variables, authentication).
• Experience with Jira + Confluence; Xray for test management and traceability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.

Nice to Have / Advantage

• Database validation experience (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Appium experience for mobile automation (Android/iOS).
• Experience testing on real mobile devices locally (device setup, debugging, stability, connectivity), in addition to cloud providers.
• Playwright experience (or willingness to learn and evaluate fit for specific test types).
• Experience in Performance testing with Gatling and/or Apache JMeter
• Docker/Kubernetes familiarity; microservices and distributed systems testing.
• Linux shell/scripting skills.
• Experience reducing flakiness and improving reliability (retry strategy design, stability patterns, observability).
