Senior Learning & Development Project Manager (f/m/d)

Role:
Within DECATHLON University, the mission of the Senior Digital Learning & Development project manager is to create the strategies and processes necessary to build and grow the skills of exceptional teams. Our objective is to guarantee the expertise of our employees in their professions, enabling DECATHLON to move people through the wonders of sport, digitally!

To help us in this mission, we are looking for a Learning & Development project manager who will focus on the Learning & Development part and communities of practice for one of our business areas (Engineering, Product Management, Data, E-Commerce).
The position is based in Lille or Paris.
Responsibilities:
You will be in charge of leading an L&D strategy, and in future, creating a team to support it for one of our Digital departments.
You collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, HRBP, and communications teams. Your goal is to design learning experiences aimed at upskilling and supporting communities of practice of teammates in digital professions working at DECATHLON Digital in hubs and countries
So, in this context, you:
- Participate in identifying and evaluating the expected skills in a specific business area and support associated training needs (onboarding/upskilling/reskilling)
- Make sure the job and skill repository for your area is up to date, according to the DECATHLON University standards
- Build the strategic vision of the jobs' skills in your domain
- Build a strategy to encourage continuous learning through a mix of media and content responding to different types of use. (e-learning, face-to-face, exchange community, etc.)
- Structure training courses in alignment with internal-to-business and cross-business career paths
- Build strong partnerships with training organizations and learning providers
- Adopt a data-driven approach to understand better, target needs, and measure the impact of training campaigns
- Encourage creation and knowledge sharing, content, and best practices internally and externally through establishing relays, communities, and events (hackathon, webinar, collective meetings etc.) on a global scale
Main activities:
Ensure the updating of the Digital jobs repository.
- Guarantee the definition of hard and soft skills in the job description by aligning them with business objectives/responsibilities/possible KPIs
- Co-define with your HR counterparts and the business representatives possible career paths for each job within the domain (job ladder) or outside the domain
- Define the ways to assess the skills and work in synergy with colleagues in the same Digital domain to maintain a concise catalog of skills and training
Ensure that our teammates have trainings enabling them to follow their development plans and keep up to date with the technology developments
- Ensure that each job has an onboarding plan
- Guarantee that each job of the perimeter has a development plan (physical and digital, internal or external) from basic levels of knowledge to advanced. Build or buy relevant training.
- Guarantee the leaders of your assigned jobs are informed about the trainings and can help their teammates follow their development plan
- Ensure the development of a network of referents to create, validate, or roll out training
- Monitor the level of satisfaction of teammates with their integration and development plan and continuously improve the programs
Profile
- Minimum of 8 years of HR/L&D/Digital leadership or Talent Acquisition experience in an international environment
- Proven experience in the elements of culture and learning in a Digital environment
- Good Digital culture and a solid personal appetite for transformation and innovation projects. Without being a technical expert, you know the Engineering, Product Management, e-commerce and/or Data professions very well
- Ability to seek out and adapt the best learning and development practices in the industry, you are connected to the tech/scale-up ecosystem, and you maintain a network
- Experience in the deployment of “at scale” L&D programs
- Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Excellent communicator capable of working and adapting to various levels of the organization
- Unifier of strong cross-functional partnerships with a collaborative mindset
- Strong skills to build a strategy, organize team, resources and ensure effective communication
- High adaptability and flexibility in the face of changing priorities
- Action-oriented, speed, results
- Willingness to learn and develop within the company
- Fluency in English and French
