Decathlon's digital covers several aspects, including the development of e-commerce platforms, mobile applications, digital marketing strategies and technological innovations to improve customer interactions.

A year ago we started Amsterdam Digital, this new global focused hub has grown within this year to 70+ experienced digital professionals and we will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years. With the same mission as its mother company Decathlon SE in France; 'moving people through the wonders of sports' and to build a better customer experience.

As a Senior Payroll Specialist at Decathlon Digital Amsterdam, you will be the go-to expert for payroll processes within the Hub. You will work closely with our HR Lead, Finance teams, and external payroll providers to ensure that all payroll-related activities are executed accurately and on time. You will also collaborate with teams in NL, Lille, and Paris as one cohesive unit, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Manage the entire payroll process for 100-500 senior professionals, including data collection, payroll calculation, and disbursement.

• Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly bonus calculations.

Ensure compliance with Dutch payroll regulations and company policies.

• Monthly payslip explanation to our international new onboarders. 

Prepare and submit required payroll-related reports and filings. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to integrate payroll processes with other HR systems. Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance. Support audits and provide payroll information as needed.

• Strengthen the HR Administration of the Global Business Hub together with the HR Operations Specialist, the HR Lead of the Hub (separate entity)  and the NL Decathlon Retail & Services payroll team. 
• Super user of the payroll system and implementation of a new payroll tool

What we expect from you

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HRM, Business Administration, or a related field (BPL + VPS). 7+ years of experience in payroll processing and comfortable to work with senior professionals (such as Directors and VPs).Thorough knowledge of Dutch payroll laws and regulations. You are the expert. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in payroll software and systems, as well as MS Office. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Able to work at the office in Amsterdam at least 2 days a week.
