Senior Data & AI leader (Head of Ecom data)(f/m/d)

Our Data team Ecommerce is looking for a Data & AI leader based in Lille or Paris.

As Data & AI leader for Digital Ecommerce domain, reporting directly to the Ecommerce Director of Domain, you will lead and support a talented team of data professionals. Your role will be to align the team around technical solutions, foster collaboration, and deliver high-impact products that meet business needs, all while ensuring alignment with company guidelines. You'll drive the delivery of industrialized, agentic AI solution. You'll maximize business value by orchestrating a strategic roadmap with Ecommerce subdomains that integrates emerging autonomous technologies with robust ethical governance and human-centric design.

Key responsibilities:

  • embody data team leadership and performance culture
  • drive data and AI strategy and innovation
  • lead solution delivery and technical excellence in a Product  organization (working closely with Engineering, Product and Design leaders)
  • uphold data governance and AI ethics, aligning practices in Omnicommerce Unit
  • manage stakeholder relationship and storytelling
  • develop, enrich and take care of data teammates 

Role & Skills:

1. Team & Individuals Management

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Lead managers and individual contributors
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team culture promoting collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Manage budget requirements and ensure team morale and engagement.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to help team members thrive and develop new skills.

2. Data & AI Product Delivery

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define and prioritize product features.
  • Ensure technical feasibility and manage the data solution catalog.
  • Deliver robust, scalable Data & AI products, from MVPs to industrialized solutions, ensuring monitoring and operational maintenance.
  • Define KPIs and track the impact of Data & AI products.

3. Data Leadership

  • Define and drive the data strategy, creating a data roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Influence the business by promoting data-driven decision-making and challenging the status quo.
  • Actively contribute to the broader data strategy, fostering synergies and sharing knowledge within the data community.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to develop data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with expert teams and other domains to drive data initiatives forward.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure successful project delivery.

Skills 

Technical Skills:

  • Data & AI Knowledge: Strong foundation in data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.
  • Project Management: Ability to define project scopes, establish timelines, and manage resources.
  • SQL/Python/Tableau: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Machine Learning and GenAI: Understanding of AI development and performance metrics.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage expectations and foster effective collaboration.

Human Skills:

  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and guide teams, aligning them with company goals.
  • Communication: Effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Empathy: Understand team needs and foster a supportive work environment.
  • Result-Oriented: Focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Team Management: Expertise in managing, developing, and motivating teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in both building innovative projects from scratch and working within complex, dependent engineering environments.
