About the Role

As Build Engineer at Da Vinci, you’ll work closely with a team of skilled software engineers, system engineers and operations. You’ll be responsible for improving our development experience, ensuring effective, automated and resilient build processes. You will design, implement and maintain pipelines and deployment systems supporting critical trading applications in C++ and Python code.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for trading applications and infrastructure systems
  • Manage build automation, packaging, and deployment of complex, latency-sensitive applications
  • Monitor and improve build performance, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery
  • Collaborate with software engineers to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment
  • Implement tools and processes for dependency management, artifact storage, and version control
  • Drive best practices in build reliability, reproducibility, and automation
  • Troubleshoot build failures and optimize processes for speed and scalability

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science or similar
  • 3+ years of experience as a Build Engineer supporting a C++ environment
  • Strong knowledge of build automation tools, preferably Gitlab CI/CD and C++ build systems.
  • Proficiency in automation with Python and Bash.
  • Experience with Git. (Perforce is no point in mentioning)
  • Familiarity with Linux systems administration and shell scripting
  • Understanding of software packaging, dependency management, and artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving
