AML analyst

We are currently looking for a KYC/AML analyst eager to support our business in ensuring a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for our business relations and digital assets. The role is based in our Amsterdam office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the onboarding of new business relations runs smoothly and complies with internal and external requirements
  • Conduct KYC due diligence on business relations and work with colleagues in the business department for obtaining and storing the correct documentation
  • Assessing complex corporate ownership structures to identify ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), control relationships and potential compliance risks.
  • Perform assessments to apply appropriate risk ratings in accordance with internal and external requirements
  • Monitor changes to applicable AML laws, regulations and best practices and assist the compliance team with updating applicable policies and procedures
  • Assist in designing and delivering AML training to colleagues

Requirements

  • Up to 5 years of experience working in a KYC/AML role in a financial services firm
  • Solid understanding of international AML/CFT frameworks, including FATF Recommendations, Basel guidelines and global best practices.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; Dutch language skills are considered a plus
  • Analytical view and eye for detail
  • A curious mind and a problem solving and proactive attitude
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, Economics, or related field.
