Data Center Engineer
About the Role
We are building out our first US office and physical trading infrastructure - and we’re looking for a hands-on Data Center Engineer to join our team. Our Miami office is an exciting start-up operation with ambitious growth plans, and you will be a central part of shaping our high-availability, low-latency environment across the New Jersey Triangle, and beyond. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in hardware infrastructure and deployment, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to go the extra mile to support our expansion.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, firewalls, and other critical equipment
- Manage rack and stack, cabling, patch panel layouts and power planning
- Coordinate remote hands and perform on-site support across data center facilities
- Schedule and manage hardware and network changes with minimal down-time
- Coordinate deployments with exchanges and colocation vendors
- Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning of critical systems, including monitoring environmental thresholds such as temperature, humidity, and power
- Contribute to low-latency initiatives in collaboration with trading, network, and systems teams
- Evaluate new hardware releases for performance and latency improvements
- Optimize and document infrastructure layouts, patch schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Keep an up-to-date asset inventory
- Develop and improve change management workflows and ongoing maintenance plans
Requirements:
- 3–6 years of experience in data center operations or hardware engineering
- Prior experience working in exchange colocation environments is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of servers, network switches, firewalls and other hardware equipment, and best practices of racking and connectivity in data centers
- Familiarity with out-of-band management
- Ability to travel to domestic data centers as needed (~10–20%) and flexibility to perform off-hours support and after-market activities occasionally
- Familiarity with monitoring IT environments for general performance and critical thresholds
- Good understanding of data center requirements and the ability to translate them into practical solutions
