About the role

Datavations is seeking a Technical Implementation Manager to lead the onboarding and implementation of our data analytics solutions for new and existing customers. In this role, you will guide clients through the setup of data integrations, user access, dashboard configuration, and early insights generation. You’ll serve as a bridge between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring a smooth and technically sound onboarding process that sets the stage for long-term success.

Responsibilities & skills

 

  • Customer Onboarding Leadership: Own the technical onboarding process from post-sale through initial adoption, acting as the primary technical point of contact. Ad-Hoc technical implementation with existing clients on as needed basis
  • Data Integration Support: Assist customers in connecting their data sources (e.g., SQL databases, APIs, cloud storage, spreadsheets) to our platform.
  • Configuration & Customization: Work with customers to build and configure dashboards, KPIs, and reports aligned with their business needs.
  • Project Management: Create and maintain onboarding plans, timelines, and progress reports, ensuring alignment between internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Client Enablement: Train users on best practices for data management, visualization, and interpretation within our analytics tools.
  • Troubleshooting & Escalation: Identify and resolve technical onboarding issues, escalating to support or engineering as needed.
  • Feedback Loop: Capture customer feedback and share insights with product and engineering to help shape product improvements.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve onboarding materials, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.




Experience

  • 3–5+ years in a technical onboarding, implementation, or customer-facing analytics role.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake), and data integration processes.
  • Experience with BI or analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Mode, Metabase).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex data topics for non-technical users.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience onboarding enterprise clients in a data-centric SaaS environment.
  • Background in data engineering, analytics consulting, or solution architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google BigQuery, Azure).
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Compensation 

The base salary average range for this role is $110k - $125k per year, depending on experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. This range reflects our current expectations for a qualified candidate nationally, but we’re open to discussing the compensation range further for exceptional candidates working from our NYC office. Total compensation may also include equity, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
