About the Role
Datavations is seeking a driven and experienced Research Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be spearheading our Research function. You will work closely with the Marketing team to develop content and thought leadership that will resonate with prospects and customers.
Responsibilities & skills
- Strategic Partnership with Marketing: Jointly define thought leadership strategy and project plans aligned with business goals.
- Content & Thought Leadership Creation: Conduct research, analyze data, and collaborate with Marketing and Customer Solutions to develop compelling content (white papers, blogs, etc.).
- Playbook Development: Identify recurring use cases and create best practices documentation in partnership with the Customer Solutions Team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing on content planning and messaging; collaborate with Customer Solutions for real-world insights.
- Research Leadership: Establish efficient research processes and stay updated on research methodologies.
- The Research Manager and Marketing team will collaboratively:
- Develop the thought leadership strategy, aligning research with marketing goals.
- Co-create content, with Research providing data and Marketing focusing on presentation and distribution.
- Ensure consistent messaging based on accurate research.
- Use performance feedback to refine future research and content.
- Jointly plan and execute research-backed marketing initiatives.
Research provides the data-driven insights, and Marketing ensures they are communicated effectively to drive engagement and growth.
Experience
- 3+ years in a data analytics and storytelling role
- Proficient in articulating the application of alternative data
- Retail/e-commerce, market research, startup, or analytical experience
- Working with retail or consumer data (Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, 1010, etc.)
- Data storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences
- Driving actionable insights from alternative data sources
