We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will not only support our data engineering and data science teams with infrastructure and security-related tasks but also engaging directly with customers. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of cloud infrastructure and security strategies.

What (exactly) will you do?

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure: Lead the design, deployment, and management of secure and scalable environments on AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration with advanced data platforms for data processing and analytics;

  • Focus on cloud security: Apply security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security, to safeguard data and cloud environments, enabling secure access to data platforms;

  • Manage cloud networking: Implement cloud networking components such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and VPNs within AWS and Azure environments to optimize performance and ensure secure communications between data platforms and other cloud resources;

  • Ensure compliance and security standards: Design infrastructure in line with industry standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations such as GDPR and SOC2, as well as supporting secure cloud data platforms.

What does it take to fit the bill?

  • Consultant mindset: You are obsessed with customer success - meaning that you prioritize your work with the customer in mind and always seek to advise (rather than purely execute) your customers on the best-in-class technical solutions;

  • Strong Cloud Infrastructure Expertise - you have deep knowledge of how Cloud Infrastructure works including hands-on experience with AWS or Azure services and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (or others alike);

  • Experience with Cloud Security: You have a proven track record in building secure infrastructures and possess a strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM). Experience with securing virtual networks and configuring firewalls is a plus;

  • Willingness to learn about data engineering and expand expertise in data and AI technologies;

  • You are fluent in English and willing to travel occasionally (within the EU and generally within a short business trip setup) up to 10% of your time;

  • BONUS! Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks - Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework, which provide best practices for designing secure, efficient, and scalable cloud infrastructures, is a plus.

For this role, our gross salary ranges from 1.500.000 to 2.000.000 HUF/month, depending on your assessed seniority level during the selection process.
