As a Sales Director, you will oversee and manage a team of salespeople within a region, developing plans to meet sales targets, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and ensuring the sales team operates efficiently. Your responsibilities will include leading, managing, and motivating an enterprise sales team, developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, overseeing the end-to-end sales process, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance overall customer experience. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Coaching, mentoring, and motivating a high producing sales team and in doing so generating revenue opportunities for the organization.
- Assist in the recruiting, staffing, and training to grow and maintain a sales team.
- Formulate and execute on monthly and quarterly sales plans.
- Assist sales team with client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Inspire, lead, and coach a dynamic and fast paced sales team.
- Coach and provide feedback to the sales team in the areas of sales/personal development, direction, and focus.
- Conduct weekly forecast review and quarterly progress review sessions with each representative.
- Manage productivity, funnel of opportunities, and quality to ensure teams meet established goals and standards.
- Ongoing process improvements, recommendations, and implementation of systems that will make our team more efficient.
- Assist in managing programs and campaigns to achieve target goals for team and individual representatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years leading a sales team of full-cycle AE’s.
- 3-4 years of software sales experience with a successful track record of winning new business.
- Experience driving performance management and enabling the success of other individual contributors.
- Demonstrated success in forecasting, territory account mapping, research and planning and running discovery meetings.
- Resilient, positive, energetic, driven, results oriented, confident, coachable, eagerness to help people succeed.
- Expert SaaS industry knowledge, cyber security knowledge preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of performance metrics and ability to provide feedback.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling into the SLED space.
- Experience in the cyber security industry.
