Please note that this role requires candidates to reside within a two-hour distance of one of our offices located in EST (Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, New York City, or Washington DC).
As a Project Manager in the Professional Services organization, you will shepherd projects to completion utilizing Critical Chain Project Management tools and techniques. This role requires strong leadership skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and communication style that inspires team members to action.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Proven experience with Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) methodology, including the application of buffer management techniques and resource-constrained scheduling is highly desirable.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to ensure optimal allocation and utilization. Identify and mitigate resource constraints and bottlenecks to maximize project throughput and minimize delays.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project delivery, and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing contingency plans as needed to maintain project momentum.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a focus on quality throughout the project lifecycle, implementing best practices and quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality outcomes. Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources in accordance with established change management procedures. Evaluate change requests for their impact on project objectives and provide recommendations for approval or rejection.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project performance against key metrics, including schedule adherence, budget utilization, and resource allocation. Generate regular progress reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. TOCICO, PMP, or other project management certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on cybersecurity or related technology domains.
- Proven experience with Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) methodology, including the application of buffer management techniques and resource-constrained scheduling.
- Experience leading a portfolio of independent projects with dependant resources is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and industry best practices, with the ability to effectively manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to closure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Realization Concerto, Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline project workflows and collaboration.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative project management environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
