Location: The Netherlands, Switzerland or other location in Europe | Reports to: Vice President ESG | Visa Requirements: Valid working visa for EU/EEA | Language Requirements: Professional English, written and verbal | Work Arrangement: Remote  

As our new Senior ESG Lead, you will play an active role across the full spectrum of Environmental, Social and Governance activities. You will will help design and implement SoftwareOne's new enhanced ESG strategy, including advancing environmental initiatives, strengthening our social impact programs, and ensuring effective ESG-related communication.

Key responsibilities will include:   

  • Strategy: Support the definition and implementation of the global ESG strategy translating it into regional priorities and targets, while driving data collection and implementation of data integrity controls across all three ESG pillars. 
  • Regulatory compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with ESG-related legislation such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. 
  • Environmental initiatives & charitable giving: Develop and implement policies and guidelines such as our  decarbonisation and transition plans;  and support donations and employee volunteer programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders. 
  • Communication and reporting: Lead ESG communications internally and externally, and prepare integrated annual reports, including supporting assurance. 

What we need to see from you:     

  • Demonstrated experience in diversified ESG, sustainability or corporate social responsibility roles. 
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a sustainability-related field (e.g., environmental sciences or human rights). Candidates from other academic backgrounds will also be considered. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear, concise report writing. 
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to view both macro and micro perspectives. 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with flexibility and adaptability. 
  • Proactive individual who can work  independently as well as in a team; and is organized with strong project and time management skills.
