The Enterprise Software Consultant – IBM Application & Cloud Modernization will be a critical bridge between our sales team and prospective clients, providing deep technical expertise and strategic guidance. This role requires a strong understanding of complex IT environments, such as full lifecycle API management using IBM API Management / IBM API Connect, including API gateway configuration, developer portal enablement, security enforcement, and usage analytics. This role will require you to articulate how our solutions address critical business challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in presales, a passion for technology, and hands-on experience with a range of enterprise software and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities:  

 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client business needs, technical requirements, and pain points across Application & API Management, Application Servers, File Transfer Software, Cloud Optimization, and FinOps domains.
  • Design and propose comprehensive technical solutions that align with client objectives and demonstrate clear business value. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and technical workshops to diverse audience
  • Act as a subject matter expert for our portfolio, staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and new product developments.
  • Advise clients on optimizing their application landscapes, modernizing legacy systems, and achieving efficiency and cost savings in their cloud environments.

 

Your Competencies:  

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and presales expertise with any of the following tools: IBM API Management / IBM API Connect, IBM Cloud Pak for Applications (with deep knowledge of Redhat, OpenShift and hybrid cloud deployment strategies), IBM Cloud Pak for Data, IBM Cloudability / Apptio, Dynatrace and Datadog
  • 6+ years of experience in technical roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a presales/solutions architect capacity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architectures, cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with a broad range of operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows) as well as file transfer solutions (IBM Sterling File Gateway, SFTP) is advantageous.
  • Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or IBM technologies will be a plus
