As our new Public Sector and Defence Sales Director, you will step into a senior management role, leading and managing the public sector sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for the organisation. You will have the opportunity to set sales targets, oversee the sales process, and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders across an impactful sector. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and implement Sales Strategies: Create strategic sales plans and objectives to achieve company sales targets and revenue goals
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate your sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to enable them to achieve individual and team performance targets
  • Sales Targets and Performance: Set sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics for the sales team, monitoring progress and taking action as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and fostering long-term partnerships 
  • Sales Forecasting: Implement sales forecasting and pipeline management processes to accurately predict sales revenues, track sales performance, and identify areas for improvement 

Your Competencies: 

  • Proven experience in public sector and defence sales management including business development, and used to energising and enabling the team to achieve targets and create a performance-driven culture
  • The ability to analyse data and market trends
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting and pipeline management, including GTM strategies, aligning sales strategy to broader business goals
  • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape and evolving customer needs
