Strategic Account Director – London, UK

As a Strategic Account Director at Convera, you will lead a portfolio ofhigh-value global clients, typically contributing multi-million-dollar annual revenues. You’ll work closely with C-suite stakeholders, helping them achieve their international payment goals through tailored solutions, strategic insight, and deep partnership. You’ll play a key role in helping clients execute cross-border payments, including pension disbursements, lump sum drawdowns, and investment transactions, as well as global workforce payments.  

This is a senior, commercially focused role where you’ll be expected to drive growth, retain and expand strategic accounts, and identify new business opportunities.

You’ll also play a key role inmentoring team members, shaping GTM strategy, and influencing product development based on client needs and market trends. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Lead and grow strategic accounts: Develop long-term account plans that drive revenue growth, retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Engage at executive level: Build trusted relationships with C-suite decision-makers, aligning Convera’s solutions with their global business objectives.
  • Identify and close new business: Spot opportunities within and beyond your portfolio, lead complex deal negotiations, and drive new revenue streams.
  • Influence product and strategy: Provide market and client insights to help shape Convera’s GTM strategy and product roadmap.
  • Mentor and support the team: Coach junior account managers, share best practices, and contribute to a high-performance culture.
  • Represent Convera externally: Deliver compelling presentations, participate in industry events, and elevate our brand in key markets.

What We’re Looking For: 

 

  • Extensive experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or client success — ideally in payments, FX, financial services, or SaaS.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow multi-million-dollar
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience mentoring or leading teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence products and business direction.
