
Credit Risk Analyst
The Credit Risk Underwriting Team at Convera is responsible for the analysis, processing and timely approval of credit risk applications. As part of this team, the Credit Risk Analyst will be undertaking credit assessments of new clients and review existing customers to establish/assess the provision of acceptable credit terms in accordance with Convera’s Credit risk Policy. The Credit Risk Analyst will ensure all new business cases are reviewed and the customer service provided is to a high standard for internal and external parties. This team is essential to the management and allocation of credit and is core to the success of our front office teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide written credit risk assessment of new clients in a timely manner and within established SLAs.
- Conduct annual reviews on Convera client’s credit position.
- Ensure a high standard of written credit assessment.
- Assist with ad hoc project works as directed by the Credit Manager.
- Assist with reporting requirements as directed by the Credit Manager.
- Ensure high standard of customer service to internal and external parties.
Required Qualifications
- Previous commercial credit risk experience gained looking at corporates and SMEs as a loan officer or credit analyst (minimum of 2 years).
- Good organizational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of and ability to interpret Financial Statements.
- Computer literature (intermediate skills in Word and Excel).
- Proficiency in financial software and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to make sounds decisions in a timely manner after systematically considering all possible outcomes.
- Ensure that report writing is accurate, diligent and analytically throughout enough to justify either personal decision making or when making proposals to final Credit Risk Approvers.
- The willingness and ability to work cooperatively with others and across functions towards common objective.
- Exemplary time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with all levels (Dealers and Senior Management).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Below are nice-to-have qualifications, but not required:
- Experience to FX hedging risk or global market is preferred.
- Fluency in French highly desired.
