Lead HR Generalist and Global Employee Relations Program Manager

As a Lead HR Generalist and Global Employee Relations Program Manager with Convera based from the USA, you will be accountable for providing HR support to managers and employees in the USA (other countries as assigned) across the employee lifecycle. 

This role will provide coaching and guidance to people managers on performance management, employee relations, HR policies, and HR programs. You will provide global oversight and expertise in employee relations. As a member of the People Services team, you will play a key role in enabling our employees by offering operational and strategic support.  

You will be responsible for: 

  • You will be the first point of contact for employees and managers in your assigned countries and will provide HR support through a blend of in-person interactions and self-service solutions.  
  • Counselling and coaching managers on employment matters, including performance issues, policy interpretations, employee engagement, and HR programs with the ability to support both first-time and seasoned managers. 
  • Leading Employee Relations investigations from when a concern is raised, to conducting an effective investigation, and delivering recommendations, including disciplinary action 
  • Developing Convera’s Employee Relations framework and liaising with HR Business Partners, Ethics, Legal, and other stakeholders to further develop the Employee Relations function.  
  • Providing coaching, advice, and guidance to HR Generalists on Employee Relations issues to build capability and consistency in the investigation process and outcomes. You will be an escalation point for the team on high risk and/or complex ER investigations.  
  • Tracking Employee Relations cases and ensuring investigations are closed within SLA. Identify ER patterns and make recommendations to improve organizational health.  
  • Facilitation of core people processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance evaluations, restructures, offboarding, and mobility.  
  • Utilizing the ServiceNow platform, you will track interactions with employees and managers to improve HR service-delivery. You will identify opportunities to improve HR processes and make getting support easy for leaders and employees  
  • Administering and leveraging employee data in our HRIS (Dayforce). 
  • Leveraging HR systems and analyzing data to identify areas of opportunity, make recommendations, and inform decision-making, 
  • Collaborating with the HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) and HR Business Partners to coordinate and implement HR initiatives including performance calibrations, training and development, compensation planning and other HR programs 
  • Leading projects, including writing SOPs and process maps and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve the employee experience. 
  • Facilitating training sessions and HR office hours with managers and employees as required, providing proactive support and communication. 
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive employee issues while exercising good judgment 
  • Performing duties under minimal supervision by applying broad knowledge and experience of HR principles, practices, and procedures 
  • Promoting an environment of positive employee relations by establishing trust and credibility and building an effective relationship with employees. 
  • Keeping abreast employment law to ensure compliance and balanced risk-taking. 

You should apply if you have: 

  • At least 6 years in an HR Generalist and/or Employee Relations roles  
  • Strong understanding of USA employment law, other countries and/or experience working in a global company is a plus 
  • Extensive experience in conducting employee investigations in multiple jurisdictions  
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making high judgment decisions 
  • Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and people management practices.  
  • Adept at using HR systems and leveraging people metrics  
  • Extensive years of experience in People-related program or project management with a Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong program management background, with demonstrated experience leading large global People projects while navigating ambiguity and leading through change 
  • Experience interacting with and challenging senior stakeholders to find the best outcome  
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including developing communications and presentations
