
Lead Accountant
We are looking to fill a Lead Accountant position. In this role you will be responsible for: project and capitalization accounting entries, lease accounting entries, and assisting as needed with regulatory reports and financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory standards. This is a temporary (maternity cover) role.
You will be responsible for:
• Analyze complex financial reports and records and make accounting entries
• Reconcile ending currency positions in transactional systems and GL
• Prepare and review journal entries for month end CAPEX process
• Ownership and reconciliation of lease accounting
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations for monthly compliance
• Support Financial Reporting colleagues with monthly & quarterly reporting requests
• Assist with external audit requests
• Work well with colleagues, especially in Finance, Real Estate, HR, and Product & Tech
• Design and documentation of procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Work on and lead projects as required
• Frequently advises others on complex matters as a subject matter expert
• Present or discuss in front of leadership on responsible topics.
You should apply if you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 8+ years financial accounting experience preferred
• CPA and Public Accounting experience preferred but not required
• Strong familiarity with US GAAP
• Experience working in a complex multi-currency accounting environment / a plus
• Experience with large ERP and/or Settlement systems Oracle Cloud / a plus
• Knowledge of project accounting & CAPEX accounting / a plus
• International accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid systems skills including advanced Excel and Word.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide solutions to issues in creative and effective ways.
