Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and resourceful senior IT Support professional to provide comprehensive, VIP-level technical assistance to executives, their immediate families, and selected staff. You will ensure the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of hardware, software, and networks, on-site and off-site and during business trips. You must be ready to travel on short notice to set up or troubleshoot IT environments and maintain the highest levels of professionalism and discretion at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide white-glove IT services to VIP users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
- Address issues with Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and other enterprise applications in diverse OS environments (Windows, macOS, and mobile devices).
- Provide occasional IT support to VIP family members on personal devices or home offices.
- Travel on demand for urgent or scheduled IT tasks such as office/housing setup, conferences, or high-profile events.
- Ensure accurate device provisioning, subscription, software, and hardware warranties and license management. Work with relevant teams to proactively update and replace software, hardware, and licenses to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor and maintain robust cybersecurity practices custom-tailored for VIP users, including endpoint protection, firewalls, antimalware tools, and secure VPN configurations. Escalate all issues timely to the relevant teams and ensure fast follow-ups.
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair hardware (desktops, laptops, peripheral devices) and manage video-conference equipment for executive meetings and conferences. Proactively test the setups before critical events and meetings.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of resolutions, processes, configurations, and any deviations from standards.
- Remain flexible and available for urgent requests or off-hours support to meet executive needs.
- Adapt to rapidly changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism.
- Offer assistance with tech due diligence and intelligence for Constructor Capital startups.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an IT support role, ideally assisting VIP/executive-level users.
- Solid understanding of Windows, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and related enterprise solutions.
- Proficiency with network technologies , backup and recovery, and endpoint security tools.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues with desktops, laptops, peripherals, and AV equipment.
- Excellent understanding of backup, security solutions, network firewalls, VPNs, remote access technologies, ability to apply this knowledge immediately. Hands-on experience with Mikrotik and Ubiquiti network solutions.
- Experience building creative solutions from the scratch, which typically means expert knowledge of Linux, and at least some scripting language, e.g. Python.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of confidently supporting high-level stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple requests with competing deadlines.
- Calm, composed demeanor under pressure, demonstrating a systematic approach to diagnosing unfamiliar issues.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel frequently and on short notice.
- Must pass comprehensive background checks (criminal, psychological, substance use).
