Head of Buisness Transformation
Job description
Team & Reporting Line: Reporting to COO
Our Mission
At constellr, we use thermal intelligence from space to understand what is happening on Earth - where, when and at scale. Our satellite constellation delivers high-resolution land surface temperature data, giving governments, defence organisations, commercial operators and global institutions the intelligence they need to monitor change, assess risk and make better-informed decisions.
From national security and critical infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience, constellr turns temperature into actionable intelligence for a changing world.
Your Role
As Head of Business Transformation, you will be the engine behind company-wide execution.
This is not a strategy role for someone who prefers presentations over outcomes. You will take ownership of critical business initiatives, align teams around shared objectives, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
You will work directly with the COO and leadership team to drive strategic priorities across engineering, product, commercial, finance, and operations. When priorities compete, you create clarity. When obstacles emerge, you remove them. When decisions need to be made, you make them.
Success in this role means transforming ambitious goals into predictable execution
Key responsibilities
Lead Business-Critical Initiatives
- Own and deliver a portfolio of strategic and operational projects across the business.
- Translate company objectives into executable plans with clear milestones, timelines, dependencies, and accountabilities.
- Ensure initiatives remain aligned to business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner with leaders across Engineering, Product, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to drive progress.
- Break down organisational silos and ensure teams are working towards common goals.
- Build alignment among diverse stakeholders and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
Deliver Results Relentlessly
- Establish clear execution frameworks, governance, and reporting mechanisms.
- Track progress, identify risks early, and intervene when projects drift off course.
- Drive accountability across the organisation and ensure commitments are delivered.
Manage Business Investments
- Own project budgets and oversee financial performance across transformation initiatives.
- Monitor spend against plan, identify cost risks, and ensure disciplined investment decisions.
- Support data-driven prioritisation and resource allocation.
Support Executive Decision-Making
- Provide the COO and leadership team with clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Make informed decisions in fast-moving environments with incomplete information.
- Escalate issues appropriately and ensure rapid resolution of critical blockers.

Why join constellr?
- High-Impact National Security Mission: Be part of an ambitious mission to launch the world’s first commercial thermal infrared constellation, delivering sovereign-grade "behavioural" intelligence from space to close critical blind spots for defence, intelligence, and maritime surveillance agencies.
- Fast-Paced "New Space" Innovation: Work at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving defence sector. By leveraging modern, agile New Space methodologies, you will help design, build, and deploy dual-use thermal payloads into operational orbit at a speed and scale that traditional aerospace models simply cannot match.
- Broad Interdisciplinary Exposure: Accelerate your professional growth by collaborating daily with a diverse, international cohort of astrophysicists, software developers, and defence-system engineers.
- Inclusive & Scientific Culture: Join a high-trust team deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence, where academic curiosity is paired with high autonomy and a flat hierarchy.
- Financial Upside & Well-being: Benefit from a Virtual Share Option Plan (VSOP) for permanent employees, giving you a true stake in the company's growth, alongside highly flexible hybrid working models.
