Freight Forwarding Customer Representative

Since 1997, we have been purchasing maritime freight and logistics services for our discerning customers from all over the world and handling the operational and administrative aspects of transportation.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a customer-focused professional with a solid background in freight forwarding to join our dynamic Customer Service team. In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for our global clients, ensuring smooth coordination of international sea freight operations while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Competent and independent support of our customers by e-mail and telephone, with a focus on ocean freight shipments.
- Coordination, scheduling, and monitoring of international sea freight transports in compliance with KPIs (import, export, and cross-trade; FCL and LCL shipments).
- Managing special cases and customer-specific freight requirements, ensuring tailored logistics solutions.
- Receiving, reviewing, and processing customer orders with an emphasis on freight accuracy and timeliness.
- Proactive communication with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Overseeing and verifying invoices related to freight services for customers, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in freight forwarding, preferably with a focus on ocean freight.
- Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented, customer-centric approach
- Proven ability to manage complex shipping arrangements and coordinate with multiple logistics stakeholders.
- General tech savviness and good MS Office skills; experience with logistics or freight management systems is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as German, French are an advantage.
