Cognite operates at the forefront of industrial digitalization, building AI, and data solutions that solve the world’s hardest, highest-impact problems. With unmatched industrial heritage and a comprehensive suite of AI capabilities, including low-code AI agents, Cognite accelerates the digital transformation to drive operational improvements.
We thrive in challenges. We challenge assumptions. We execute with speed and ownership. If you view obstacles as signals to step forward - not backwards - you’ll feel right at home here.
Our Moonshot is bold: Unlock $100B in customer value by 2035, and redefine how global industry works. Join us in this venture where AI and data meet ingenuity, and together, we will forge the path to a smarter, more connected industrial future.
How you’ll demonstrate Ownership
As a Co-Innovation Program Manager, you'll drive the programs that turn Cognite's emerging capabilities into production-ready product. You'll work at the seam between product development and customer reality—using real-world deployments to harden new features, identify gaps, and systematically improve the platform, systems, and processes.
You use customer deployments as the proving ground to ensure our product capabilities are reliable, scalable, and ready for repeatable delivery.
You'll need the instincts of a deployment strategist—analytical, curious, comfortable with ambiguity—combined with the rigor of a technical program manager. You orchestrate across engineers, product managers, designers, and customer teams to keep complex programs on track and ensure learnings flow back into the product roadmap.
The Impact you bring to Cognite
- Drive Co-Innovation: Own end-to-end delivery of customer-partnered programs that deploy emerging AI. Manage scope, timelines, resources, and risk to ensure successful outcomes.
- Harden the Product: Use customer deployments as a forcing function to pressure-test new capabilities. Surface edge cases, integration challenges, and gaps that only emerge in production environments.
- Feed Field Insights to Product: Systematically capture insights from the field and translate them into actionable product requirements. Partner with product managers and engineering leads to prioritize and sequence improvements.
- Orchestrate Delivery: Coordinate across Cognite engineers, data scientists, designers, and product teams. Remove roadblocks, manage dependencies, and keep workstreams aligned toward shared objectives.
- Ensure Production Readiness: Work with product teams and internal functions to define what "ready" means—ensuring new capabilities meet the bar for scalable sales and delivery before broader release.
- Facilitate Customer Collaboration: Lead workshops, working sessions, and technical discussions with customer teams. Extract signal from noise to identify the highest-leverage problems and validate solutions in real environments.
-
Education and experience: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in technical program management, solutions engineering, product management, or similar roles that combine technical depth with delivery accountability.
- You've led complex technical programs. Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery—coordinating across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver results
- Technical & Systems Acumen: Strong ability to navigate complex software architectures, data systems, and integration patterns. You can identify where product gaps exist and articulate what needs to change
- Industrial Acumen: Experience in or with industrial sectors (energy, manufacturing, process industries) and understanding operational workflows
- Think in systems. You see how pieces connect—across product, engineering, and customer workflows. You can synthesize disconnected inputs into a coherent picture of what matters most.
- Execution & Communication: Skilled at managing multiple workstreams, prioritizing effectively, and maintaining momentum across competing demands. You track details without losing sight of the objective.
- Communicate with precision. Excellent written and verbal skills. You can distill complex technical and product issues into clear recommendations for engineering, product, customer, and leadership audiences.
Preferred Experience
- Prior exposure to AI/ML systems, LLM applications, or agentic workflows.
- Hands-on experience with industrial data types (time series, sensor data, knowledge graphs) or platforms like Cognite Data Fusion (CDF).
- Experience with operational technology (OT), control systems, or industrial software.
- Background in fast-paced product environments with rapid iteration cycles.
