How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy, receipt documentation, and policy compliance.
  • Verify invoices for GST compliance and eligibility for input tax credit (ITC).
  • Identify and flag duplicate claims, non-compliant expenses, and suspicious transactions.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements with submitted expense reports.
  • Follow up with employees for missing receipts and unresolved transactions.
  • Coordinate with banks to resolve disputed charges and card-related issues.
  • Manage end-to-end expense workflows in Netsuite and Expensify.
  • Prepare monthly reports on spending trends, compliance issues, and policy violations.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to Travel & Expense (T&E) accruals.
  • Maintain financial accuracy and strengthen internal expense management processes.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

 
  • Strong understanding of Indian GST requirements and commercial invoice validation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with ERP and expense management systems, preferably Netsuite and Expensify.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies quickly.
  • Strong integrity and accountability in handling financial data.
  • Ability to communicate firmly yet professionally with employees and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on improving financial controls and processes.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Audit, or Expense Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
