ClinChoice is searching for a Senior Specialist Procurement to join a pharmaceutical company

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- The Senior Specialist, Procurement is responsible for optimizing procurement processes and managing supplier relationships across various sectors including engineering, production, packaging, construction, and capital services. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring maximum value and reduced risk for Client sites.
- Sourcing new suppliers and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
- Negotiating terms to ensure value and mitigate risks.
- Reviewing and managing the procurement schedule and conducting bid analysis.
- Processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
- Preparing regular reports on purchasing activities for project teams.
- Collaborating with other teams to streamline procurement processes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and eliminate wasteful processes.
- Contributing to cost savings through competitive bidding and market trend analysis.
- Developing and improving internal customer procurement relationships.
- Working with the global Client Category Strategy Manager to implement category strategies.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Buying experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
Specific Role Requirements and Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Robust analytical skills for interpreting market data and performance metrics.
- Highly organized with proficiency in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory environment.
- Fluency in both English and Dutch.
