As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in building and qualifying a strong pipeline. No technical background? No problem—we’ll teach you everything about digital transformation and low-code development. You’ll gain hands-on experience with top sales tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and a premium ChatGPT subscription to optimise your outreach and prospecting. As a BDR, your role will not only focus on creating a pipeline but also on qualifying leads, understanding their needs, and moving them through the sales process. What makes this role unique: 

Join CLEVR in Rotterdam as a Business Development Representative, where you'll drive new business opportunities leveraging the Mendix low-code platform. Your role will focus on prospecting, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales pipeline to fuel revenue growth. You'll collaborate closely with sales and marketing to engage potential customers, educate them on Mendix’s benefits, and spark meaningful business conversations. Your role will include: 

  • Identify and engage potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking events.
  • Instrumental in building and nurturing the sales pipeline, engaging prospects through personalized outreach, and helping move leads through the sales funnel.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand customer needs, assess their business challenges, and determine if Mendix is the right solution.
  • Work with sales executives to schedule meetings, demonstrations, and follow-ups with qualified leads.
  • Track and manage lead interactions in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to ensure a structured and data-driven approach.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in low-code development, digital transformation, and industry-specific use cases for Mendix.
  • Represent CLEVR at conferences, webinars, and networking events to build relationships and drive brand awareness.
  • Follow up with prospects, answer questions, and provide educational resources to guide them through the decision-making process.

 


 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (preferably in software, SaaS, or technology industries).
  • Strong understanding of low-code platforms, digital transformation, and enterprise software solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a team player with a proactive approach.
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing. Other languages, like Dutch, German or Norwegian is a plus.
