Graduate Software Engineer
Graduate Software Engineering Opportunities - Applications Close Sunday 20th of September
Please note visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity
Since our acquisition by ClearScore in January, we've announced record levels of activity across our intermediary platform. Revenue has grown 2.5x year-on-year since the start of 2026, and the value of mortgage transactions submitted through the platform has reached a new record, a clear sign that we're helping mortgage businesses scale faster and smarter. As we continue to grow, we're looking for ambitious graduates with a passion for software engineering to join us in transforming the industry and shaping the future of home buying. You'll help build a platform that empowers consumers, brokers and operational functions to efficiently manage the mortgage research, application and home buying process.
We currently have opportunities across Frontend and Backend engineering available, whichever path suits you best, you'll be joining an agile engineering team where you'll write reusable, tested and efficient code that is performant, stable, secure and always production ready. You'll take ownership of the full lifecycle of the components you build, work with the wider business to turn requirements into deliverables, and grow into a mentor for those around you.
Requirements:
- 2:1 or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, another scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Graduated in 2025 or 2026
- Full right to work in the UK, now and in the future
- Able to come into our London office twice a week
What you will be doing:
Frontend
You'll design, implement and test the user interfaces at the heart of our product. You'll deep dive into React to write our components, use TypeScript for strongly typed JavaScript, and work with Apollo and Context for state management. These will be your bread and butter, though you'll occasionally meet some RxJS and Handlebars too. The team will be on hand to help you.
Backend
You'll design, implement and test the backend components that power the platform. You'll work with technologies such as Go or C++, converting business requirements into development tasks, and gaining hands-on experience with deployment, issue management, code versioning and continuous integration and deployment.
Skills we'd love you to have
- Passionate about software engineering and about delivering a quality product.
- Comfortable reading and writing code, with experience across a range of languages, frameworks and patterns.
- Familiar with automated testing platforms and unit tests, and committed to readable, maintainable code.
- Aware of how security, reliability, performance, usability and scaling all contribute to quality.
- An clear communicator who is ambitious but pragmatic when needed.
