As we expand our horizons, we’re searching for a Paralegal or Legal Operations Specialist on a permanent basis to join our legal team, based in London.
Role Overview:
You will work to support ClearScore’s legal team and continued growth across the UK, South Africa, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. As Paralegal reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be pivotal in supporting the legal team across commercial, IP, special projects and legal operations initiatives. We’re seeking a driven, detail orientated individual with a strong delivery mindset to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract lifecycle - assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, data processing agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Legal-ops & optimisation - contribute to legal operational projects to improve the efficiency and ways of working of the legal team, including taking ownership of the legal team contracting platform, e-signatures and organisation of our contract management system.
- Research & advisory - undertake legal research, horizon-scan upcoming regulations that apply to ClearScore in the UK and each of our international locations. Produce concise briefings for the Group Legal Director and stakeholders.
- Audits - Support internal and external audits (including ISO27001 and SOC2), risk assessments, and legal reporting processes in line with the Group Policies.
- IP management - Supporting on brand and intellectual property matters including registrations, new filings, monitoring and enforcing brand protection.

What we’re looking for:
- You have a law degree or strong understanding of commercial and corporate law.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal operations specialist within an in-house environment, extra credit if you’ve worked within fintech, financial services, technology, or related sectors.
- Proven familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms - stand out candidates will be familiar with Summize. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Operational and proactive mindset - you’ll be a person who thrives working with data, process and technology. You take initiative to understand how things work and can juggle multiple priorities.
- Tech curious - comfortable trialing technologies and have a keen interest in all things AI and its use cases within a business context, particularly within the legal team.
- Strong team collaboration skills and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment with cross-functional teams, including Product, Compliance, Data Protection, Marketing, Commercial and the Leadership team.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Slack and DocuSign.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different teams and seniority levels.
