Commercial Lead 

  • Location: Sydney City
  • Hybrid: 2 days a week in office

 

ClearScore, a leading FinTech company, is seeking a Commercial Lead (head of commercial) to join our ANZ team in Sydney. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the commercial success of our business while contributing to our mission of simplifying personal finance for millions of people around the world.

 

Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Lead, reporting to the General Manager, Australia and NZ, you will oversee key partner relationships and optimize the performance of our credit marketplaces in Australia and New Zealand. Collaborating closely with the General Manager, you will refine our commercial strategy and leverage data insights to drive actionable outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating strong business development relationships with executive-level stakeholders in financial institutions, including major banks and FinTechs
  • Analysing platform data to identify business opportunities and develop innovative solutions for partners
  • Contributing to the overall ANZ business strategy in partnership with the General Manager
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to support effective campaign delivery and the Product team to enable prioritisation of initiatives to drive commercial outcomes and partner roadmaps
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of ClearScore's commercial operations
  • Sharing best practice and learnings with your global commercial function colleagues

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial roles within technology startups, scale-ups, or financial services
  • Proven ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong influencing skills with a track record of working effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional data-driven decision-making abilities and project management skills
  • Enthusiasm for analytical problem-solving and a proactive approach to achieving goals
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting ideas to diverse and senior audiences
  • Positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
  • Experience in credit businesses or marketplaces is advantageous but not essential
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to move quickly and work collaboratively
