Digital Designer (Mid-Weight)
Digital Designer (Mid-Weight)
- Location: Vauxhall, London
- Hybrid: 2 days onsite & 3 days remote
- Salary: £45k - £55k
At ClearScore, we’re building a best-in-class, global Creative Studio to help serve all our markets with our customer-focused creative communications and designs.
So this is the chance for an ambitious multi-talented designer to join a dynamic and modern studio which is part of a growing fintech business.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an ‘up and coming’ digital designer with a passion for creating communications that engage audiences. You’ll be conceptual, ideas lead, able to work together with conceptual writers to bring ideas to life, and you’ll have a hunger to learn new skills to broaden your capabilities. This won’t be your first job, but you’ll also be looking for somewhere where you can start to create your best work for a brand that cares as much for its employees as it does its customers.
Whether you come from an agency background, or another in-house studio, your passion for design, craft and communications that have an impact must show through.
WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
No two days are the same in the studio and the work we do is rich, varied and multi-channel, so you’ll be expected to shape-shift your skills across all sorts of different things. So what does that mean? Well, we do all the typical things you’d expect a business to do like campaigns, emails, landing pages, socials, films, motion graphics…all the way through to printed assets and large-scale events. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to know how to do all of these, but in time and with training and mentoring within the studio, you eventually will.
THE TOOLS OF OUR TRADE
The primary tool we use is FIGMA, so this is a ‘must-have’ skill. We also create a lot of other designs in Adobe Creative Suite, so your go-to tools here would be PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR and INDESIGN. These are the mainstay of what we use and you may had established skills in some of these, in your previous roles, so please be prepared to be asked about your proficiency.
We also make a lot of video content, animations and illustrations, so if you’re a dab-hand with ADOBE PREMIERE, AFTER EFFECTS and ADOBE EXPRESS, that will certainly bump you up the consideration list.
And of course, Ai is something we as a business are actively interested in and using to enhance our work and create efficiencies. We’d expect you to be as inquisitive about future tech’s possibilities as we are…and not afraid or too much of a purist to want to use it.
GOOD HOUSEKEEPER
You’ll also have good admin skills. Yeah, we know, it’s not the sexy bit, but knowing how to save your work, size assets and tag them, and co-maintain the library of work so all our markets around the world can find what they want as quickly and easily as possible. So you must work tidily and be diligent.
AMBITION
We want someone hungry to learn. While you have good skills already and can undoubtedly teach us a thing or two, you’re not the finished article yet. You want to grow, you want to learn, you will be inquisitive and curious for what’s next, and not be afraid to give it a go.
RECAP ON THE SKILLS
- Good experience with FIGMA and the Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Adobe Express)
- You love generating ideas, concepts and communications (emails, socials campaigns & more).
