The role

 

Cision is looking for a People Partner to join our evolving and fast-paced People team in the UK. This is a highly strategic role, working closely with senior executives and people leaders while partnering with teams across multiple functions.

This role is responsible for supporting people-related programs, processes, and initiatives by applying established people frameworks, policies, and practices.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business, navigating a dynamic environment, taking on new challenges, and driving meaningful business impact.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

The role is defined, but not limited to, the following:

  • Strategically partners with clients to understand business and organizational needs and objectives, develop strategies and implement solutions.
  • Serves as the primary people lead for assigned client groups (CX, Insights and Marketing), on all things people and culture, connecting them with the broader People function — including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and People Operations — as needed.
  • Supports the People Partner team to execute on UK related projects and tasks for non-assigned client groups.
  • Conducts ongoing analysis of assigned client group. Monitors, interprets metrics and analysis to bring a data-centric approach to decision making.
  • Advises and coaches managers and employees across the full spectrum of people matters, including talent development, succession planning, compensation, organizational design, and performance improvement.
  • Owns employee relations matters end to end, from information gathering and assessment through to resolution, in line with company policy and applicable legislation.
  • Guides managers through the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Drives cost effectiveness by employing relevant strategies and achieving or exceeding synergy savings targets.
  • Effectively drives accountability and a performance-driven culture.
  • Contributes, communicates, and collaborates globally with other People functions.

 

Essential Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience with a global technology or SaaS company, specifically working across regions including the Americas and EMEA.
  • Experience leading transformation and aligning people strategy to the business' long-range plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive major initiatives through the organization and influence decision-makers, effectively communicating at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, performance and talent management, and employment law.
  • Strong presentation skills; comfortable in front of senior leadership and decision-makers.
  • Persuasive communication skills, including succinctly communicating complex issues and delivering them effectively.
  • Innovation and the ability to be creative in problem-solving, organizational diagnosis, and solution generation. 
  • Results-oriented and service-minded, with the ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships in partnership with business leaders to achieve initiatives and deliver results.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, manage changing priorities and embrace agility, while conveying calm and confidence.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a similar field of study plus one of the
    following certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM, CP or SHRM SCP (or international equivalent) OR Master’s degree.
  • Prior experience in a people partnering, employee relations, human resources or similar role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated People Partner (HRBP) experience preferably in technical organizations, directly supporting senior leaders
