About the team
Our product development teams are dedicated to building best in class products in the field of cheminformatics. We are a creative, dynamic, and innovative company with a wide range of technologies and unique projects in this niche market segment.
Right now we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. We're the team bringing chemical intelligence into databases. From substructure search in Oracle and PostgreSQL to deep integration with emerging cloud-native platforms like Amazon RDS and Snowflake, we make chemistry searchable, scalable, and fast. Our work spans research, low-level C++ programming, and cross-database design — pushing the boundaries of what's possible when chemistry meets data infrastructure. It’s about bridging raw molecular data with real-world applications, at massive scale.

About your responsibilities
- We are looking for a highly skilled Java developer to work on various projects
- You will have an opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies in a variety of areas, working with new and legacy code as well
- You will be able to design a system using your knowledge in object oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, applying SOLID principles, TDD and design patterns
- Good, clean, maintainable code is important for us
- You will be involved in ideation, concept creation, where you will present your ideas using your communication & English skills as well
- As a team member, you will become responsible for the team’s product, which means involvement in technical support for our clients
Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us
- BSc or higher degree in Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong Java knowledge
- SQL knowledge (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL)
- Willingness to work with a variety of technologies
- Willingness to learn continuously
- Good general programming background (like OO design, TDD, design patterns, etc.)
- Good work ethic, productive, proactive behaviour
- Ability to work in a team and also to solve problems alone
- Good command of English
Bonus skills that will help you hit the ground running
- C++ knowledge
- Experience with JUnit, Gradle, Git
- Experience with Docker, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins/GitLabCI
- Experience with Spring
