About the team

As a key member of the Certara Data Sciences group, you will play a critical role by expanding the team to Budapest.  Working closely with the directors of the Engineering and Product teams within Certara Data Sciences, you will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding an entirely new team of technical professionals across a variety of disciplines, including Software Engineering, Software Testing, and Customer Success.  You will manage, support and evaluate your new team members’ performance, conducting regular 1:1’s, developing growth plans, and providing and collecting feedback.  Your expertise in software development and commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant solutions for our customers will guide your day to day.

  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance at all organizational levels and across multiple job functions
  • Demonstrates best practices and guides lower levels through example
  • Develops adoption plans for new tools or features of already-adopted technologies
  • Curious by nature and identifies opportunities for innovation
  • Keeps current on cutting-edge technologies and educates others on them
  • Demonstrates knowledge of strategic thinking, design, and systems development
  • Analyzes engineering efforts to determine risks or sensitivities
  • Adaptable to changing needs
  • Communicate effectively about company-, divisional-, or team-wide changes

Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us

  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative agile software organization
  • Good operational/execution skills.
  • Good understanding of software development process, working knowledge of development practices and principles - ideally you have worked as an individual contributor which helped you to understand the SW engineering practices.
  • CEFR C2 Level English or equivalent
  • Fluent in any non-English local language(s)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - you have been great at managing peers and stakeholders in your organizations
  • Understanding of agile, ability to work iteratively - we believe in servant-leadership management style empowering others in your team
