About the team

The Baton Rouge Manufacturing team is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient production of lubricants that support our customers and business. The Maintenance & Reliability team partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Safety to improve equipment performance, strengthen asset reliability and ensure the site can consistently deliver the production plan.

Key tasks

  • Lead the site maintenance and reliability organization, developing the team and creating clear accountability for safe work execution, equipment reliability and technical standards.
  • Own maintenance and reliability performance across mechanical, process, utility and facility assets, with a strong and visible presence on the plant floor.
  • Lead preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability and progressively shift the organization from reactive toward planned maintenance.
  • Drive the elimination of chronic and repeat equipment failures through structured root-cause problem solving, equipment data and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Own maintenance work management, including work identification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution and closeout.
  • Use the CMMS as the site system of record to strengthen equipment history, maintenance plans, performance measurement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage maintenance expenditures, contractors, maintenance stores and critical-spares strategies to balance reliability, availability, cost and working capital.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Safety on production priorities, equipment improvements, capital projects, commissioning and Management of Change.

Experience required

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability or engineering, including 5+ years of maintenance or reliability leadership with direct people-management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading skilled trades, maintenance technicians and contractors in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Proven experience improving equipment reliability, reducing recurring failures and moving maintenance organizations from reactive toward planned, preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, maintenance planning and scheduling, work management and structured root-cause problem solving.
  • Experience using a CMMS such as SAP, Maximo or Ultimo to manage maintenance execution, equipment history and asset performance.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors and critical spare-parts strategies.
  • Strong technical judgment, analytical and troubleshooting capability, with the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent technical education combined with significant relevant experience.
