Staff Salesforce Engineer
As a Staff Full Stack Salesforce Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and launching a brand-new engineering team focused on our Salesforce platform. You’ll combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction, setting the foundation for long-term success. Specifically, you will:
- Mentor and onboard new team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Coordinate engineering efforts across teams, ensuring alignment around Salesforce architecture and long-term goals.
- Establish robust architectural foundations, balancing declarative and programmatic tools.
- Architect and implement scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions, championing testing, simplicity, and reducing tech debt.
- Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives, delivering high-quality results aligned with business needs.
- Shape and launch the new Salesforce engineering team, defining its vision, scope, and talent needs.
- Lead and influence Salesforce solution design, simplifying complex decisions and mentoring best practices.
- Translate product and business goals into actionable Salesforce strategies, identifying new technical and business opportunities.
👤 Your Profile
You are a highly experienced and hands-on Salesforce engineer, fluent in both declarative and programmatic development. You’re equally comfortable solving technical and organizational challenges, bringing a strategic mindset and a builder’s mentality to help form and lead a brand-new Salesforce-focused team.
You bring:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in Salesforce platform development, including declarative tools and programmatic tools (Apex, LWC, Flows)
- A strong understanding of when to use declarative versus programmatic solutions, and the ability to guide others in making these decisions for maintainability and scalability.
- Solid expertise in Salesforce data modeling, API integrations (REST), and asynchronous communication patterns using tools like Platform Events, as well as event-driven architecture to integrate Salesforce with adjacent systems.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tooling for Salesforce (e.g., Gearset, Copado) to ensure high-quality, reliable deployments and streamline development workflows.
- Broad software engineering foundations, with familiarity in adjacent systems (e.g., backend services, databases, microservices).
- A passion for mentorship, fostering team growth, and sharing knowledge.
- Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning, including exploring AI and emerging technologies, to stay ahead in the field.
- A collaborative and inclusive communication style, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges for all audiences.
- A high sense of ownership and a bias for action in tackling challenges.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
