Job Overview:

The Senior HSE Advisor will provide proactive Health, Safety and Environmental support to the Depot teams engaged across our Operations and Maintenance activities. Additionally, the role will support the development and coordination of training programs in line with our Zero Harm at Work mission; recognise People, Prevention, Protection, and Process (4Ps), developing policies and procedures. Investigate incidents and accidents and carries out duties as may be required by the HSE Manager. The role will report to the HSE Manager and will closely work with the HSE counterparts across CAFU Petroleum Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain all documentation and procedures including the HSEMS system on site.
  • Ensure all high risk & non-routine activities are controlled by PTW system.
  • Lead HSE officers and their performance & training management
  • Creating awareness among workforce and management on health and safety policy and standards.
  • Oversee procurement and budget for HSE team
  • Performs site safety visits and spot inspections.
  • Carrying out internal audit and inspection functions.
  • B2B portfolio risk management that includes but not limited to risk reviews for new clients, surveillance of existing projects, complaint management
  • Ensure HSEMS is compliant with ISO & internal mgt. systems - Conducting internal audits, leading the onsite and offsite inspection programs
  • Minimize environmental impact of CAFU operations in line with local regulations by ensuring zero loss of containment incidents by maintaining waste management & recycling program; managing disposal permits
  • Staff is HSE competent through developing safety training and qualification program for workforce & year- round safety awareness campaigns.
  • Mitigate and minimise incidents by managing the incident reporting, investigation and close out systems, implementing CA/PA measures.

Success Metrics - Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On time completion of internal audits
  • Improve HSE culture within the organization
  • Training of existing and new staff
  • On time completion of B2B inspections and Annual HSE plan

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills & Responsibilities)

  • Health and Safety Qualifications (Nebosh IGC is a must)
  • Lead auditor trainings in ISO 45001/14001 & 39001
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry or hydrocarbon transportation business.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and laws Knowledge of Integrated Management system
  • Good communication skills (English and Hindi/Urdu)
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
