About the Role
What You'll Do
-
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and properly supported.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other key account reconciliations.

Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and aged reconciling items.
-
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages.
-
Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
-
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during interim and annual audits.

Support tax, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements where applicable.

Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.

Support improvements to finance processes, reporting workflows and accounting procedures.
-
Assist with accounting matters relating to multiple entities and cross-border transactions.

For more experienced candidates, take ownership of assigned entities or reporting areas and provide guidance to junior team members.
What You'll Bring
-
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
-
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Good working knowledge of IFRS and fundamental accounting principles.

Hands-on experience in month-end closing, general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.

Experience supporting statutory audits and preparing audit schedules.
-
Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
-
Good written and spoken English.

Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and locations.
Nice to Have
-
A recognised professional accounting qualification or progress towards CPA, CA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.

Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another major ERP system.
-
Experience working in a multi-entity or multinational organisation.
-
Prior experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets or the cryptocurrency industry.
-
Familiarity with blockchain transactions, crypto wallets or digital asset accounting.
-
Big Four or external audit experience.
-
Knowledge of UAE accounting, tax or regulatory requirements.
-
Mandarin language capability.
