About Buynomics:

Buynomics is the next-generation SaaS company in pricing and product optimization. It employs large-scale simulation technologies to digitize customers and predict their purchasing behavior - in any environment. Our clients use Buynomics to make data-driven decisions about their current and new products, overall portfolio structure, pricing, promotions, trade terms, and more, 100x faster and more precisely than every other solution.

We aim to enable companies to make data-driven, transparent, and customer-centric commercial decisions. For that, we build the operating system for commercial decisions that provides companies with a single source of truth to answer all their market-facing questions including pricing, product offers, and promotions.

As a Sales Engineer, you will support and accelerate the growth across multinational clients by demonstrating the value of Buynomics’ innovative solution and ensuring a strong technical fit throughout the sales process.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will act as the commercial backbone of our sales process, collaborating with account executives to show CPG companies how Buynomics can transform their RGM and commercial decision-making. Your ability to connect commercial challenges with practical solutions will be key in driving our customer acquisition efforts.

What you'll do:

  • CPG Knowledge Demonstration: Demonstrate your understanding of CPG RGM processes, and how the Buynomics solution enhances them.
  • Client Engagement Support: Partner with Account Executives to understand prospect needs (e.g. pricing, promotions, portfolio strategy) and deliver tailored platform walkthroughs and explanations.
  • Solution Storytelling: Translate commercial challenges into clear, data-driven solutions during sales presentations, showing tangible business value for CPG clients.
  • Demo Development: Build customized product demonstrations and examples using real-world RGM scenarios (e.g. pricing, promotions, pack architecture).
  • Commercial Expertise: Answer business-related questions, and support handling objections in the sales cycle.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to share client insights and help shape future capabilities.
  • Pre-Sales Content Creation: Contribute to sales materials, case studies, and RFP responses.
  • Customer Onboarding Assistance: Support the initial onboarding steps to ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation.

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business management, marketing, or a related field from a top university.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in CPG, Consultancy, Retail or a similar high-performing environment – exposure to Revenue Growth Management, Trade Marketing, or Commercial Strategy is highly valued.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to align different functions (sales, marketing, finance).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with comfort working with quantitative data and commercial models.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging with clients, especially in commercial discussions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, balancing attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to grow into a hybrid commercial-technical role.
  • Professional level of English (German or other European languages are a plus).

What we offer:

  • A vibrant, international, and diverse work environment.
  • Flexible work options: remote within the USA East Coast with visits to our NY office situated next to the  Manhattan Bridge.
  • A dedicated learning budget to support your professional growth and development.
  • Health, Visual, and Dental Insurance.
  • Personal and professional growth opportunities.
  • Regular company events in Cologne and Barcelona.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process and that no applications are overlooked, please apply directly to the role. While we'd love to respond to everyone who reaches out, applying ensures that your application is properly tracked and considered.
