What You’ll Do 

• Oversee and improve the observability, performance, and reliability of key production services, from system design through deployment. 

• Develop and maintain resilient monitoring, logging, and tracing infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive system visibility. 

• Provide guidance on best practices for instrumentation and telemetry to engineers across the organization, fostering a culture of proactive monitoring and alerting. 

• Contribute to our 24×7 on-call rotation, responding to alerts and ensuring uninterrupted availability of critical services. 

• Drive standardization of observability tools and documentation to promote efficiency, consistency, and knowledge sharing. 

Essential Skills & Experience 

• 3–5 years' experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering roles. 

• Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or similar) and a strong understanding of observability practices. 

• Hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) for managing and provisioning infrastructure. 

• Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language and effective scripting abilities for automation tasks. 

• Deep knowledge of cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) at scale. 

• Solid foundation in security best practices, networking fundamentals, and system administration (Linux and/or Windows). 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation, as well as understanding of SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, toil, uptime).
