We're looking for an accomplished DevOps Engineer II (Observability) to help enhance the monitoring and visibility of our mission-critical systems. You'll play a pivotal role in implementing robust observability solutions and ensuring the reliability and performance of our services. Working closely with the SRE and development teams, you will champion best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain high uptime. You'll report to the DevX Manager overseeing Observability and participate in our 24×7 on-call rotation to ensure maximum service availability.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee and improve the observability, performance, and reliability of key production services, from system design through deployment.
- Develop and maintain resilient monitoring, logging, and tracing infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive system visibility.
- Provide guidance on best practices for instrumentation and telemetry to engineers across the organization, fostering a culture of proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Contribute to our 24×7 on-call rotation, responding to alerts and ensuring uninterrupted availability of critical services.
- Drive standardization of observability tools and documentation to promote efficiency, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering roles.
- Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or similar) and a strong understanding of observability practices.
- Hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) for managing and provisioning infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language and effective scripting abilities for automation tasks.
- Deep knowledge of cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) at scale.
- Solid foundation in security best practices, networking fundamentals, and system administration (Linux and/or Windows).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation, as well as understanding of SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, toil, uptime).
