The Data Ingestion team

We are a team of passionate individuals deeply committed to doing our best, continuously learning, and supporting each other to grow and improve. Specifically, the Data Ingestion team is responsible for delivering and enhancing owned social data from a multitude of platforms delivering it verbatim to customer facing applications.

Our mission is to create an ingestion system that is robust, yet flexible enough to serve our downstream applications in quality with their ever-changing needs for our customers in a timely manner.

In this role as an engineer in the Data Ingestion team, you will:
- Enhance and maintain the backend stack of data ingestion
- Collaborate with members of other product groups, fostering a culture of partnership and innovation. You’ll work as an engineer delivering back-end solutions of data ingestion from social platforms.
- Deliver well-tested and scalable solutions that meet technical and product needs
- Share and discuss best practices proactively with your peers.
- Support product teams, such as handling changes in Social APIs

We encourage and support growth and development for everyone. That said, prior experience in any of the following areas will be beneficial:
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database principles
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies
- Familiarity with modern DevOps tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Akka (Pekko) is an advantage, but not a requirement
