Procurement Manager

Lisbon, Portugal

BrainRocket is a global company creating end-to-end tech products for clients across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing. ‍Young, ambitious, and unstoppable, we've already taken Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Poland, and Serbia by storm. Our BRO team consists of 1,300 bright minds creating innovative ideas and products. We don’t follow formats. We shape them. We build what works, launch it fast, and make sure it hits.

We are seeking a highly skilled, dealing with ambiguity and tech-savvy Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. Having recently implemented our procurement systems, we are moving into a critical phase of optimization, data integrity, and scaling.

The successful candidate will be a "Hybrid Professional": a strong commercial negotiator who is also deeply comfortable acting as the Functional Owner of our procurement tech stack ( We currently use Omnea, experience of this system would be a plus). You will ensure our tools are used correctly, our data is clean, and our commercial value is maximized through expert category management and supplier negotiation.

Key Responsibilities
1. System Stewardship & Optimization
  • Functional Ownership: Act as the primary administrator for our procurement systems. Troubleshoot system errors, manage user permissions, and perform root-cause analysis on workflow failures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Audit the post-implementation environment to identify "friction points." Edit and refine approval workflows and intake forms to improve speed and compliance.
  • User Enablement: Develop and deliver comprehensive training resources (SOPs, video guides, and workshops) to ensure the business uses the system effectively and "clean" data is captured at the source.
2. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
  • Contract Excellence: Lead end-to-end sourcing activities and high-value negotiations across diverse categories (e.g., Tech, Facilities, HR, Construction).
  • Value Creation: Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable commercial terms, ensuring all negotiated benefits are accurately tracked within the system.
  • Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with key vendors, using system data to monitor performance and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
3. Data Integrity & Reporting
  • Data Governance: Oversee the integrity of the Supplier Master Data and Spend Analytics. Cleanse historical data and ensure automated onboarding processes meet compliance standards.
  • Commercial Insights: Translate raw system data into actionable executive reports, highlighting savings, spend leakage, and contract expiration risks.
4. Policy & Process Development
  • Operational Excellence: Align procurement policies with system capabilities to ensure a seamless "click-to-buy" experience for internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities meet regulatory requirements and internal audit standards through disciplined system usage.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in procurement. Your ability to negotiate complex deals is as vital as your ability to master and edit procurement software.
  • Proven experience managing a live Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Source-to-Contract (S2C) platform. You should be comfortable "going under the hood" of a system to fix errors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end procurement processes and delivering measurable commercial value.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Construction, FM, PR/Events, Travel, HR, or Technology ( Software) and Hardware
  • The "Optimizer" Mindset: A proven track record of taking an existing process or system and making it significantly more efficient through training and configuration edits.
  • Ability to translate complex technical system requirements into simple instructions for non-technical stakeholders.

What We Offer
  • Impact: The opportunity to turn a newly implemented tool into a world-class procurement engine. Also have an opportunity to provide insights to grow a greenfield and growing department
  • Variety: A role that balances deep technical systems work with high-level commercial strategy.
  • Growth: A collaborative environment that rewards independent decision-making and professional development
