Lead Technical Writer

We are looking for a skilled Lead Technical Writer to join our team in our new office in Valencia, Spain.
This is a temporary position (maternity leave cover) with further transition to the Senior Technical Writer.
✅ Requirements:
✔️ 5+ years of experience in Technical writing;
✔️ Previous experience mentoring others technical writers
✔️ English C1+;
✔️ Strong ownership mindset
✔️ Experience in organizing internal documentation in Confluence, excellent knowledge of Confluence features, including plug-ins and advanced editing functionalities
✔️ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
✔️ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders to achieve results
✔️ Proficiency in using AI-driven writing and documentation tools, experience integrating AI tools into documentation workflows .
✅ Responsibilities:
✔️ Review, edit, and proofread documentation produced by the team to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with internal standards and style guides;
✔️ Drive innovation in content creation by implementing AI tools for style consistency, translation, terminology management, and content optimization;
✔️ Organize and maintain internal knowledge base
✔️ Provide trainings for internal teams on best practices for internal knowledge base utilization
✔️ Manage capacity and scheduling, dividing and assigning work between team members;
✔️ Set clear goals and expectations for individual and team performance;
✔️ Support recruitment and hiring initiatives and onboarding of new technical writers;
✔️ Provide continuous performance feedback and facilitate periodic formal performance review.
