
Senior Sourcing & Category Manager

BrainRocket is building the procurement function from the ground up — fast, lean, and unapologetically unorthodox. We’re not interested in paper-pushers or protocol guardians. We’re looking for a sharp, commercially-savvy Senior Sourcing & Category Manager to help us get great deals done, build pragmatic sourcing strategies, and thrive in an environment where the only constant is change.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead sourcing and commercial negotiations across a wide range of indirect categories — from fleet to facilities, from professional services to technology — with an eye on both value and speed.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple cultures, influencing without authority to drive smart decisions.
- Engage with external suppliers — many of them Spanish or local to Valencia — balancing long-term value with the need to move fast.
- Operate independently, using your judgment to prioritise high-impact deals and leave the noise behind.
- Navigate ambiguity, change direction quickly when required, and thrive in the absence of perfect information or polished processes.
- Contribute to the creation of lightweight, fit-for-purpose procurement processes — but never for their own sake.
- Roll up your sleeves, get into the weeds, close deals, and deliver commercial wins that matter.
What We’re Looking For
- A proven commercial operator — you might come from procurement, sales, or other deal-heavy roles. What matters is your commercial brain and negotiation capability.
- 10+ years’ experience in procurement, commercial, or supplier- or enterprise customer-facing roles.
- Exceptionally strong negotiation skills — confident, direct, and outcomes-focused, while fostering and cultivating real, human relationships across the board.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to pivot quickly, reprioritise, and work through complex trade-offs.
- Culturally aware and able to navigate diverse internal and external environments, building influence with tact and respect.
- No-nonsense and ego-free — someone who doesn’t stand on ceremony but delivers results. Someone comfortable with abandoning the way things ‘should’ be done when needed.
- Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a strong advantage. Familiarity with the Valencian supplier market is another big plus.
- Able and willing to be based in our Valencia office, full-time, five days a week.
