
HR Operations & Payroll Specialist

The HR Operations & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for providing operational support for the Valencia office, managing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to contract management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can ensure compliance with Spanish employment law and maintain high data integrity for payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration & Lifecycle Management: Assist in drafting employment contracts and addendums in alignment with local labor laws and internal policies.
- Social Security & Registrations: Support the formal registration and de-registration of employees with the Spanish Social Security and Tax Authorities.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS, ensuring strict data privacy and GDPR compliance.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, leave, and general HR queries.
- Payroll Operations: Manage the collection and submission of payroll data to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with data collection for local tax regulations, including supporting special tax regimes like the Beckham Law.
- Reporting & Audits: Gather data for monthly payroll reports and assist the Finance team with reconciliations and year-end filings (e.g., Modelo 190).
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with the HR and Total Rewards teams to assist with compensation changes and benefits enrollment.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR Operations or Payroll data collection within the Spanish market.
- Familiarity with Spanish labor law, social security systems, and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of expatriate and non-resident taxation is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
