
People Business Partner - Fixed Term

The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, senior People Business Partner role supporting our East Coast operations on a 9-month parental leave cover.
You’ll step into a visible, high-trust role where your judgement matters. The environment is operational, fast-moving and at times challenging. You’ll be working closely with site leaders, navigating complex ER matters and helping lift leadership capability where it counts.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with leaders to deliver practical, business-aligned people solutions
- Lead complex ER and IR matters including investigations, performance, and disciplinary processes
- Apply Enterprise Agreements, modern awards and legislation with confidence and consistency
- Support or contribute to Enterprise Agreement negotiations
- Coach leaders to handle people matters with clarity and accountability
- Lead core people processes including performance, engagement and talent planning
- Use workforce data to identify trends and guide decisions
- Maintain strong governance, ensuring consistent and compliant practices across sites
What You Bring
- Solid experience as a People/HR Business Partner in Australia, ideally across multiple operational sites
- Strong ER/IR capability with confidence handling complex, high-risk matters
- Experience with Enterprise Agreements, modern awards and union engagement
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation
- Ability to build credibility with operational leaders and influence outcomes
- A practical, grounded approach with good judgement and resilience
