As our Pattern Shop Engineer, you will oversee pattern production, storage, design, and development to ensure efficient, high‑quality foundry operations. With your strong organisational skills and proactive leadership, you will plan and monitor daily production, streamline workflows, review performance, and drive continuous improvement across all patterns‑related processes.
You will collaborate closely with the Methoding team to ensure pattern designs align with casting and operational requirements, while supporting new product development through timely and manufacturable pattern delivery.
You will also contribute strategically by leading pattern shop improvement initiatives, managing CAPEX projects, and supporting safety, sustainability, and performance forums to strengthen long-term operational capability..
You will ensure full compliance with Bradken Quality Policies, ISO requirements, and all safety and environmental standards, including housekeeping, risk assessments, safe work instructions, documentation control, and non‑conformance reporting.
You will drive compliance and continuous improvement by ensuring adherence to ISO, safety, and environmental standards, proactively addressing quality risks, and leading Lean, automation, and corrective action initiatives.
You will support manufacturing excellence through strong cross-functional coordination, cost and workforce management, MTN productivity initiatives, and effective implementation of technical changes across production.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Tool & Die/Mould, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years’ experience leading skilled teams in foundry, steel, or heavy industry environments.
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience with CAD/CAM and CNC machining.
- Strong practical experience in manufacturing operations and process management.
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure is an advantage.
- Confident communication skills in English and Bahasa.
