Sourcing Quality Engineer

As our Sourcing Quality Engineer (SQE), You are naturally curious, structured in your approach, and comfortable taking ownership of supplier quality outcomes. You enjoy understanding how suppliers operate, assessing their capabilities, and partnering with them to meet Bradken’s technical and performance expectations. 

With your data-led mindset, you effectively monitor supplier performance through audits, metrics, and scorecards, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and ongoing compliance. When challenges arise, you remain composed and solutions-focused, working collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to analyse root causes, resolve quality issues, and drive long-term performance improvement. 

You thrive on ensuring supplier compliance, approaching audits and technical reviews with curiosity, focus, and a solutions-oriented mindset. With attention to detail, you capture and interpret key metrics like quality and safety, using your insights to address gaps, drive improvements, and strengthen supplier partnerships 

With your focus on quality, you ensure sourced products meet standards by conducting first article inspections, managing PPAP submissions, maintaining the inspection tool register, and supporting the incoming goods team with technical guidance  

Key Criteria: 
 

  • Bachelor of Engineering or relevant qualification 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a steel and/or iron foundry environment working with cast products or similar heavy industrial manufacturing processes in a Product Sourcing role is essential. 
  • Quality certifications like Six sigma, Internal auditor, External auditor an added advantage 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, and CAD models 

 This role offers remote work, with a preference for candidates located in South India.
