Assistant Product Designer

At Bradken (a Hitachi Construction Machinery company), a global leader in wear solutions for the mining industry with over 3,500 employees, we are seeking a Product Design Assistant to join our production team at our manufacturing plant located in Cercado de Lima.

Your Contribution to the Team

In this role, you’ll help develop innovative and cost-effective solutions by creating and reviewing 3D models and drawings. You’ll be actively involved in the manufacturing of tooling and molds, support production operations, and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review 3D CAD models and drawings, entering data into systems.

• Contribute to the design and manufacturing of tools and molds.

• Assist in the design of inspection gauges and fabrication templates.

• Provide technical input to design standards and participate in design reviews.

• Anticipate and perform tasks efficiently, driving process improvements.

• Collaborate on projects and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical Engineering student from the 5th semester onward, or Technical Degree in Mechanical Design or related field.

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Inventor and/or SolidWorks (please attach your design portfolio with your application).

• Proactive and results-oriented mindset.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to drive improvements.

• Good organizational skills and proficiency in Excel.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.

• Intermediate to advanced English is a plus but not mandatory – technical English is expected.

• Availability to work on-site, Monday to Friday, at our manufacturing plant in Cercado de Lima.
