
Account Manager
Are you a highly driven Technical Sales Representative with deep, hands-on experience in heavy mobile mining equipment and after-market parts? Bradken, a leading global manufacturer of differentiated consumable products with +3,500 workforce, is seeking an exceptionally resilient and results-oriented professional to manage and grow our most critical account in Mauritania.
This is a specialized role focused on maintaining and growing the supply of Ground Engaging Tools (GET), Buckets, and Undercarriage products to the region's largest mining customers and associated trucking companies.
About the Role
As our Account Manager, you will be primarily based at the Tasiast Gold Mine, operating on 14 days On and 9 days Off rotation schedule. This is a highly remote, challenging, and rewarding position in the Sahara Desert, requiring a candidate who thrives on autonomy, technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Core Account Management: Administer our key account Kinross.
- Onsite Problem Resolution: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer, diagnosing equipment failures, resolving problems with GET, Buckets, and Undercarriage directly on-site, and driving technical solutions.
- Commercial & Planning: Achieve budgeted sales and gross margin targets, prepare accurate sales forecasting, manage costs, and handle contract management.
- Product Expertise: Drive aftermarket sales by demonstrating deep technical knowledge of Bradken's manufacturing and product line, coordinating technical insights with the customer.
- Reporting: Report to the in-country Regional Sales Manager, ensuring alignment on strategy and performance.
What You Bring to the Team
You possess the "Challenge, Customer, Communication" mindset and a proven ability to perform in demanding, remote environments.
Your Experience & Qualifications:
- +3 years of experience of commercial or technical experience (e.g., Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer) specifically within Mining, Heavy Equipment, or Industrial Wear Parts sectors.
- Capability to understand technical issues related to Mobile GET, Buckets, or Undercarriage.
- Technical trade background or a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Mining).
- Ability to do Budgeting, Forecasting, and use CRM platforms (Salesforce proficiency preferred).
- Fluency in English is required, and Native or Advanced French (Français) is critical for effective day-to-day operations and stakeholder communication in Mauritania.
- Proven ability to adapt to a remote, rotational work schedule and manage the unique demands of a highly remote site in Northwest Africa.
