What’s the role?

Pourer – Bradken Chilca

We’re looking for someone responsible for pouring molten metal safely and to specification, operating ladles and associated equipment. You’ll be key to ensuring pour quality, refractory integrity, and process continuity in the foundry.

Your work will include preparing and preheating ladles and accessories, removing slag, sampling and measuring temperature (pyrometer), applying powdered insulating agents, inspecting and performing basic repairs on ladle refractories, and operating an overhead crane (remote control) for safe lifting and transfer of molten metal. You will also take part in 5S, production reporting and continuous improvement, with an absolute focus on Safety and Quality.

Our Ideal Candidate meets the following criteria:

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Ladle Operator or Pourer (or equivalent competence evidence).

• 2+ years of relevant experience in foundry operations (pouring/ladle handling, slag removal, sampling, pyrometer temperature checks).
• Experience operating an overhead crane with remote control and executing safe rigging/lifting.
• Proven adherence to molten metal safety (PPE, routes, procedures, incident response).
• Familiarity with ladle refractory inspection and basic repair.
• Discipline in 5S, strong teamwork, and effective communication.
• Residence in Chilca or surrounding areas (preferred).
